Wonderful, creative, reasonably priced. I used this company for my groom's cake. It was supposed to be shaped like his firefighter helmet. It looked so real that his mom and grandma asked why his helmet was sitting by our cake table. It also tasted delicious. I actually had a deposit in on the order with the Cake Girls, whom I had seen in every single wedding magazine I've ever read. I was not impressed with their snobby customer service or when they told me that certain parts would be too detailed for them to recreate, so they would just do what they could. For over $500 for a 35-40 serving cake, plus delivery on top, they should be able to do better than that, so I called Mark at Marked for Dessert, explained to him my situation and he said "No problem." I sent him the exact same pictures I sent the Cake Girls and for less than $300 including delivery, he created the most wonderful surprise for my husband that meant a lot to us and our families. Check out their website to see some of their beautiful work.
These guys are great. Very reasonably priced and great to work with. If you bring in pictures of what you like, Julie can help you make that happen within your budget by suggesting replacing certain flowers or doing different arrangements. You can change your mind as much as you want up until a week or so before the wedding. All of my flowers came out absolutley perfect and they deliver them to the venue and set them up personally to make sure they are just as you want them.
FABULOUS! We used this band for both our reception music and our ceremony music. They provided a string quartet for our church ceremony, a jazz trio for our cocktail hour, a 7 piece band for background music during dinner and then blew us away with the 11 peice band for dancing after dinner. My husband's 80 year old grandmother did not sit down except during the band's breaks and the couple slow songs. They provided the MC, who ensure that the night went smoothly, and one of their male singers was absloutely incredible. Not only did he surprise us all by breaking out the Louis Armstrong voice to sing "What a Wonderful World" for my father-daughter dance, but during dancing, he was down off the stage, in the crowd, dancing and interacting with everyone. Everyone had a fabulous time. There is way too much to tell on this small review. Check out their website for videos. They also have a very informative set of videos explaining the different types of instrumentation and which situations they are most appropriate for. David himself is a great guy--very easy to work with and knowledgeable. I would reccommend David Rothstein Music to anyone!
