I signed with DJAY Sound and Light and was not told they were merging with Adagio. Had I known I would not have booked them as I hadn't heard great reviews from friends even though they have good reviews on their website. Needless to say I hoped for the best but was disappointed. I don't like to say negative things but this company is not easy to work with and did not provide the music selection and service I had expected. I was disappointed overall especially with the DJ they sent to my wedding. I was also very displeased that I had to contact this company numerous times and after 3 requests to know who my DJ was one was finally given to me when I called them 4 days before my wedding! UNEXCEPTABLE! I had one phone conversation and knew we didn't click personality wise... but at that point what can you do? Even after providing a well thought out playlist we had to tell him over and over again to keep it upbeat, he kept slowing things down just as we would get on the dance floor. We literally had to write down about 10 songs for him to play in a row...and then the dance floor was packed again. Hopefully my experience is a rare one.

Top quality service at the Minneapolis location. From day one to my final fitting they went above and beyond for me. Every person there is pleasant, professional and not pushy!! LOVED THEM!
They didn't have a great bridesmaid selection so I went elsewhere but for bridal gowns they were great, big selection in multiple price ranges and lots of accessories and veils! Alterations were fabulous and again not pushy!
Brand new clubhouse/ grand ballroom (Built May 2010). Beautiful brand new outdoor wedding location over looking the lake. AMAZING!! Quiet, private, surreal. The only cons are that the pathway to the altar is a bit steep. There also is not a private place for the bride to hide. I had a limo to sit in for our ceremony but outside of that you would need to hide in an office. I beieve they are building another meeting space that would work. Professional, easy to work, talented event coordinator and chef. Delicious food, great space for large and small weddings, plenty of parking. Ask for Brian Reckrow!
This is a one stop shop. Great service, great selection. Wonderful to work with (ask for Linda she is such a sweetheart!). The only con is they don't offer alterations but that isn't to bad as there is a Tailor right below them in the same building that is very good and reasonably priced.
AMAZING pieces and can customize for you if you don't see what you want or if you need multiple for bridal party gifts. So accommodating and easy to work with!

Cherie is fabulous. I had the most confidence in her to create what I envisioned for my wedding day. She is very creative, has impeccable taste and is on top of things. I never had to wait on her to get back to me for anything. She is a jem to work with if you have the opportunity, no one compares to her! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Sally is simply AMAZING in every way possible! Her talent in capturing a story in her photographs and her creativity in capturing shots that are beyond the traditional is unsurpassed. For hair and makeup I hired professionals from the twin cities to come to our families lake home on the day of the wedding. Suzy did make up for us and also assisted with hair even though we didn't ask for it in advance. How awesome is that? She is creative, fun, flexible, and oh so talented. Not only did she make me look amazingly beautiful on my wedding day she also taught us while she did the application. She is beyond fabulous! You want her there for you on your wedding day, hands down!
