Gorgeous hotel designed to look like a Mediterranean town. The rooms were beautiful and spacious, the pool was amazing, and the hotel restaurants were fantastic. One of our favorite things at the hotel was the water ferry into the Universal Studio Parks. The hotel works with the studios so you can charge in-park purchases to the hotel and even have the items sent back to your room so you don't have to carry them around all day. The hotel was extra romantic at night and seemed completely secluded from the parks.
We went on a 7-day Western Caribbean cruise out of Tampa, FL. October cruising is a little iffy since hurricanes still present an issue. During our cruise a hurricane was stalled over the northern Caribbean which meant we had rough seas most of our trip. We ended up with one canceled stop and a canceled excursion on another stop. Even so we still had a wonderful time and the amenities on the ship were fantastic. The food was great and the people were wonderful.
AAA booked all of our honeymoon plans except for our flight to and from FL, they did not have a good price for flights. We had a rather complicated honeymoon with a cruise preceded by 2 days in Universal Studios Orlando. Everything ended up turning out OK, but there were some issues with getting the rental car and shuttle from the cruise to the airport booked correctly. And of course the Reading AAA office is always a circus on Saturday mornings which is the only time we were able to get there.
My husband bought my engagement ring here. After our engagement, we went to look at wedding bands and I was able to experience the shop myself. They have a very nice selection of jewelry and the salespeople are MUCH friendlier, to young college students at least, than in the other State College jewelers. Their prices were good for the area but higher than Jeweler's Row in Philly where there is more competition.
Great little place on Jeweler's Row in Philadelphia. We bought our wedding bands here. The price was very reasonable and they had very quick delivery. Since they have and in house jeweler (who is very talented), they are willing to work with you and do anything from resizing to creating something unique just for you. We had them engrave our rings and my husband had them resize his ring after our honeymoon all of which was done while you wait.
We did a candy bar for our favors and got most of the candy from the Weaver Nut Company. They have a fantastic selection of candy, including local companies like Wilbur, for incredibly low prices.
We decided to have fruit tarts instead of the traditional wedding cakes. Wegmans only required 2 days notice, we gave them a week, for 25 of their large tarts. They were beautiful and delicious and ended up being about the same price as a cake would have.
Absolutely wonderful! Our photos are beautiful and he was unobtrusive, polite, and respectful throughout the entire day. We now have digital copies of all of our photos as well as a beautiful album and 4x6's of all of our pictures. The pictures on his website give a great example of the beauty of his work and are not just a few good ones he has taken over the years. We could not have asked for a better person to capture one of the most important days of our lives.
Quick and easy to get measurements and order the tuxes. They have a good amount of selection and don't require the all of the groomsman to be there at the same time. Everything was exactly what we ordered and went off without a hitch.
Fantastic florist. The owner takes care of the wedding flowers and is very relaxed and willing to work with customers. All of the flowers that were provided by Cedar Hill were beautiful and held up for several days after the wedding. The price seemed very reasonable. We went in with a very vague idea of what we wanted and gave more general ideas and colors we would like and this turned out quite well, however, they are definitely used to dealing with brides with a more concrete idea of what they want and will do their very best to get you exactly what you want.
