I want to say I loved this place for our wedding, becasue I love drinking wine there on a spring/fall day, but I can't say that I loved having my wedding here. It was a very bad experience when we have to take the "wedding coordinator" around the property showing her the trash and weeding growing out of everything and tell her that it needs to be moved or cleaned up. I was never given a list of supplies they had (number of tables, types, etc) therefore they couldn't accomodate my seating arrangement (that I had spent HOURS on) my dad ended up having to look through the phone book for someone who supplied rental equipment in the area (we are from Illinois) the "wedding coordinator" didn't know who did? SERIOUSLY? Very unprofessional. We were told a lot of things would happen that didn't and if I could do it again I would go somewhere else. The honeymoon cottage was disgusting I went to make coffee and there was water left in the maker that was molding, no extra Toliet Paper, no paper towels, the list goes on... This place could be great with a management team and some serious work put into it. It's sad to say but I don't even want to go back to drink wine anytime soon. I hope they get it together, because I'm not the only person who has had this type of experience. Also, when I was paying my final bill I was told that "this place is really a DIY type of place and to accomplish the type of wedding you had people are usually setting up the Monday before." This hit a nerve since I had to practically beg to be able to start setting up on Thursday evening, as their policy changed after we signed the contract. In the end we are still married to each other and loving every minute, too bad I can't speak the praises of the place that I thought I could... BRIDES BEWARE!
Jennifer and her staff were awesome and so talented. I LOVED my hair and Jennifer was able to incorporate all of the styles that I had loved in pictures into one that was perfect for our wedding. My girls loved their hair as well, go here if you are getting married in Missouri!!!
Ok experience with Angela, the food was great and we got lots of compliments. She said she price matches anyone in the area and this is were things got a little rocky, she agreed to a price and then we didn't speak for a while. When I contacted her again she thought we agreed on a different (higher) price, I saved all our previous e-mails and was able to show her the agreed upon price. Everything went pretty well until the wedding when she came earlier than expected and had to serve our guests before we were back from our pictures, then when we were lining up to be announced she came to me for payment, when I asked her if she can wait until after we were announced she said "no we are leaving now, I really need to get it now." URG! Oh well, it's over and the guests loved our food.
AMAZING! Tiffany (from Illinois) was my life saver, I didn't think I could afford a decorator/planner and she made it all possible! When my flowers got too cold in the refridge(turned brown) Tiffany was able to use different flowers, as well as, things growing in the area to make my wedding beautiful. She worked very hard on our wedding and helped me make things months before. She understood my vision exactly and I credit all of the decorations at our wedding to her! AMAZING and very reasonable!!!
My flowers were beautiful, we only used Janine for the bridal party bouquets and they were everything I had hoped for. Janine was excellend with communicating anything to me relating to our flowers and was even able to accomodate my request to have parts of my dress (following alterations) used in my bouquet. Highly recommend!
Pastor Rob was so accomodating and really made our ceremony personal. We didn't know him prior to about 2 months before our wedding and he made it seem like we had known him a lot longer. He incorporated humor and personal things into our ceremony and was truly a blessing for us! We are lucky to have met him and had him share in our special day!
Nick and Allison are awesome! I love these 2! They traveled with us to the Ozarks from central Illinois to photograph our wedding, they work together as a team and produce some amazing artwork as well as photographs. Very reasonable and definatly worth me changing our wedding date to have them capture it all! =)
We got the tuxes from a vendor in our hometown who uses Jim's Formal Wear. It was such a great process, even when 1 of the ushers pants were too short, they were able to fix it in time for us to take them with us 3 days before the wedding. Highly recommend! The guys looked sharp in the khaki tuxedos and the service was some of the best in the industry.
Elaine at Lucybelle cakes was amazing! She knew exactly what we were wanting to accomplish and was very easy to work with. I HIGHLY recommend her to anyone needing a cake in the Ozarks area, she's awesome and very affordable!
