Flora is such a sweetie & she really knows her stuff. She did makeup for myself, three bm's and my mum. She stayed all day for touchups & she doesn't skimp on product! Guests still compliment me on my makeup weeks after the wedding.
Hubby and groomsmen all looked awesome! Just go in, talk to them about what you want, and stick to your guns as you may want to "impulse rent" a whole bunch of accessories that aren't necessary (who cares if you have a matching pocket handkerchief?). There isn't much difference between the lowest priced tux and the most expensive ones 'cuz the guys looked great & we went for the least expensive!
We used this site for our invites & thank you cards. Super easy to use templates and don't forget to look for online coupons! We saved a lot by doing that.
Gary started the business because his sons were getting married and he noticed how exorbitant wedding decorations cost so he decided to go into the business to provide affordable options for soon-to-be-wedded couples. He gets most of his business thru word of mouth & is an expert in chair covers / sashes & table linens. You won't even see him & his crew set up or take down. It's like magic! Downside is you don't get a "real" contract - it's a work order showing what you've ordered so it's a bit of a leap of faith in trusting him to come through on your wedding day. We had to make a few trips in person to go over details as email wasn't always reliable. Overall, we were happy with decor provided.
Amazing flowers by Kathleen! Give her your budget, your vision or some semblance of a vision, and she will work wonders! Even when I was going back & forth on decisions, she listened patiently every time and made it happen. So easy going and professional. One set of our orchids didn't come in the purple we requested, but I guess that's expected in the floral industry sometimes. Overall amazing, fresh flowers!
Martin & Rosaline are a cute couple based in New West. They've only been doing this for two years and I think they've really grown in that time as Martin does this full time and Rosaline only part time. We weren't totally crazy about our e-photos as hubby wasn't looking relaxed in them & we were quite directed in the poses. We noticed that when there are two chefs in the kitchen, there are bound to be sparks and we felt a bit of agitation as they didn't always see eye to eye on shots they wanted to take and didn't mince words with each other. We were a bit stressed out by that & hoped it would be better on the wedding day. We requested more candids to be taken on the wedding day and their interaction was slightly better. We felt we were taking a big chance on them as they hadn't shot at our venue before and we really wanted amazing photos. In the end, they delivered despite their personal interaction. We had many great candids as per our wishes, but one thing we wished we had done was to give them a list of desired shots as we missed out on a few we would've really liked (ie. sunset shot, details of rings, dress, individual shots with specific bridal party members, etc.) Our friends and family have been raving about our photos which has been a great. Other info: They reply to emails very quickly & we got photos back to us within a 3 wk time period which is amazing!
