Ooh! Events

Great choice of antique/vintage items to create a very special, unique theme for your wedding. Our favorite was the antique china which me mixed/matched to make very individual place settings. We also used an antique bar and rented tables chandeliers, lanterns, birdcages, antique mirrors, mercury glass, old shutters and an outdoor wicker setting arrangement.

Custom Wedding Ceremonies

This officiant has also written a book on the best vendors and suggestions for coordinating your wedding in Charleston (see website link). She did an excellent job in assisting us with writing our ceremony and making it very personal and non-denominational as we requested.

BBJ Linen

What an outstanding collection of linens!! The hard part was making up our mind about what to use. We opted for moss green bengaline and moss damask with ivory sheer leaf toppers. It was so easy and they were so over-the-top helpful. They even set up a sample table and sent a photo as I was unable to get to their showroom. And they sent extra samples to our wedding planner so that she could match the linens with OOH Events china and Tiger Lily Florist arrangements. It was easy to order on-line and the linens arrived right on time and our planner simply bagged them up after the event and had them picked up for shipment back. VERY high quality linens in excellent condition all around.

Travis Allison Band

This band was awesome; our guests loved their sound and their extensive playlist. We are still getting comments about how they made the evening. And they were on time, set up and ready to go and played their hearts out all night long. Young and old loved this band! Even our 76 year old grandpa was out there dancing.

She may be just starting her business, but this wedding planner did a fabulous job at a very reasonable price. Her attention to detail was incredible and she worked well with all the vendors, bride and mother-of-the bride to coordinate a difficult destination wedding with many facets. Very professional...you won't regret working with her.

Tiger Lily Florist

There's a reason this florist has been voted the best wedding florist in Charleston. We asked for a wedding with a vintage feel...very organic with lots of natural arrangements, mercury glass, antique vases. Everything was perfect and just what the bride envisioned. Who would have thought that decorative cabbages and ivy could look so awesome in a bridal bouquet? We asked for something that wasn't the standard roses and whatever look and that's exactly what we got...so creative and so beautiful!!!

Jim Smeal Wedding Cakes

What a talented cake decorator! We weren't into that paste stuff and Jim created a buttercream cake that was so finely decorated we couldn't believe how lovely it looked. It held up up during the heat and didn't droop a bit. We chose 3 different cakes/fillings and our guests loved all of them. In fact, the leftover cake was so good that the family dove into it late that night after the wedding. This cake was worth every penny.

Lea Dales Photography

Fantastic photographer!! This woman works her tail off for you. She and her assistant were active all night long and the result was hundreds of excellent photos that captured all the details. And she produced 3 slide shows of the event that were to die for (ckeck out her blog). We also had her do our engagement photos and it was a wonderful experience.

High Cotton

We had about 40 people and while it was pricey, we wanted something intimate with excellent food/wine and something memorable for our family. We got just that. Service was excellent and the food was outstanding...really outstanding. We ate in a private room and were able to set up a slide projector with photos of our family, friends and us through the years.

Baked Charleston LLC

We ordered two kinds of biscotti for our guests to take home and eat in the AM with coffee as they dashed off to the airport or hung out in Charleston. This biscotti was excellent...huge pieces and we probably could have ordered just one per guest as they turned out to be quite heavy. It was loaded with chocolate, nuts, extra and made fresh just a day before the ceremony. We picked it up and stuffed it into cellophane bags and tied it with a bit of rafia. Really nice!
