Lomas Travel

The planner assigned to our wedding from Lomas Travel absolutely ruined our wedding weekend. First, we had been working with a "planner" for over a year. However, when we arrived in Mexico someone else was assigned to our wedding only 2 days before our wedding day.

She and her team monopolized our entire weekend with nonstop questions and meetings that we thought had been answered months before our wedding day and then again during our initial meeting of 4 hours on the first day we arrived in Mexico at the resort, the planners were not able to execute any of the events on our wedding day.

They were always late in responding to our inquiries during our preparations before the wedding and were equally disorganized once we got to Mexico.

We were referred to Lomas Travel by our "wedding coordinator" at Destination Wedding Travel in the U.S. We absolutely regret not hiring a real planner in the U.S. to oversee our destination wedding.

We absolutely do not reccommend using this vendor. We would not even give them 1 star based on the level of service we received and the outcome of our destination wedding. Lomas Travel are absolutely NOT wedding planners, they are a travel and tour agency capitalizing on the destination wedding market in Mexico.

Destination Wedding Travel

We began working with Destination Weddings almost 2 years before our wedding. Our "coordinator" was pleasant to work with for during our preparation of the wedding. However, after things appeared to be done and moneys were paid in full, she disappeared. The entire time we worked together, we were assured that she would be available to us and our guests during our trip to Mexico. Many, many things went wrong while we were in Mexico and she was not available the entire time. We ended up spending 98% of our time in the hotel room on our laptops and Blackberries trying to contact people in Mexico and the U.S. to troubleshoot the problems that arose. This resulted in us not being able to enjoy the resort we paid handsomely to stay at for a mere 5 nights or, our guests who we convinced to come to Mexico for our destination wedding.

Destination Weddings is NOT, i repeat NOT a wedding planning agency. They are a travel agency. They recommended us to Lomas Travel, who were absolutely not capable of executing our wedding. We were harassed all weekend and did not receive anything we requested for our wedding after over a year of planning.

When our "coordinator" from Destination Weddings finally resurfaced. We found out she was on vacation, which we were not informed she would be before we left the U.S., and could not do anything. Destination Weddings is a travel agency also capitalizing on the entire Destination Weddings idea.

I absolutely would not recommend working with these vendors. Bring your own planner from the U.S. that is invested in your wedding and not part of some wedding money making machine. You will be so much happier for it in the end and feel your money was well spent.

Victor Hererra and Adrian Herrera were such a delight to work with. They were such professionals, kind, welcoming and just extremely easy to work with. We felt so comfortable working with them and are even having them cover our stateside reception in 2012. We would highly reccomend these photographers to all future couples. They are an amazing family run business and you will be very pleased with the quality and creativity of your photos and most of all working with them.
