LOVED Lisa!! At first I was concerned because communicating via email was iffy sometimes, with it taking a while to get responses (unfortunately with my work schedule I couldn't call during business hours). But I always did end up getting responses, even when it took a while. The pictures on her website don't do her justice. The makeup she did for me and my bridesmaids was so beautiful. I asked for a natural, flushed cheeks look and that's exactly what she did. And it was enough that it showed up in pictures, but not so much that I felt uncomfortable wearing it. And it lasted well into the night with NO touch ups. She got through makeup for me, 7 bridesmaids and my mom in about 4 hours - just doing it herself! She was very flexible in scheduling a trial run - and after my trial run, a woman stopped me in Wegmans and told me I should be a model! And I give ALL of that credit to Lisa, haha! It was excellent and her prices were great - I wish she could do my makeup everyday!
After doing business with the ladies at M.A. Carr, I walked away feeling like I had made a bunch of new friends. They were AWESOME. They made the dress shopping experience everything a girl hopes it will be. There was no unnecessary pressure to buy right away, and the focus was not on how much money you were there to spend (think "Say Yes to the Dress"). They were warm and welcoming every single time I went in there, and they even let me come in to the shop to try the dress on again and again to show family members and friends. For the few alterations I needed, I worked with the in store seamstresses and they were wonderful, too. If you are on the market for a dress, accessories, or bridesmaid dresses stop by here - you will be happy you did!
We had a good experience with Tuxedo Junction. They were accommodating for our groomsmen that had to wait until the last minute to pick up their tuxedos. All of the sizes and colors were fine. I would recommend them.
Absolutely cannot say enough about these two wonderful people. One visit to their website will show you what I mean. If you choose Rich and Alyssa, you will absolutely not regret it. The photos they create are treasures to last a lifetime.
Our experience with Diamonds was a good one. We had the white stretch Navigator which was really nice looking. It looked small on the inside at first, but we managed to fit 16 people (including 8 large men) without a problem. The driver was very nice. One note, he did arrive at my house about a half hour earlier than we had requested - so just be aware of that when you tell them what time to come! Otherwise he'll end up sitting outside for an hour like our poor driver did. Overall though, a good experience and I would work with them again.
Could not be happier about this experience. I wrote a review on their website ("Gorgeous fall bouquets") saying the same thing. Their customer service was top notch (I used the online chat feature more than once). The delivery was perfectly smooth and on time, and the flowers were GORGEOUS. We received many, many compliments on them. And the best part? Less than $200 for enough flowers to make 8 bridesmaid bouquets and a LARGE bridal bouquet. I would absolutely do business with them again.
Our DJ was Pat Booth, who is a friend of my father's, and he was wonderful. He was easy to communicate with before and during the wedding, and he was great at playing to the crowd. The dance floor was full ALL night.
They were great. The cake was beautiful, delicious, and reasonably priced. Plus they really came through for us in a pinch when Village Desserts left us (and many others) high and dry when they closed their doors.
