Wonderful place for a rehearsal dinner! They make delicious appetizers, dinner, and dessert and you can have the whole place to yourself! Highly recommend.
I was extremely disappointed with Attitudes. A few of their stylists have a bit of an attitude and can discount your ideas/opinions for your wedding hair day very much. Even though I scheduled and paid for two practice sessions, the stylist did not remember the details of the style I wanted and generally was unwilling to listen. Our entire wedding party had a very tight appointment slot for hair/make-up the morning of the wedding for our 11:30am ceremony. Despite the fact that they said they were worried about finishing all of us on time, they filled up our time-slot with two other appointments! They did not inform us of the additional appointments they had scheduled until we walked in that morning! Not surprisingly, we got finished late and the wedding started late. They were generally very rude throughout the entire process and charged the maximum price even for very simple short-hair styles. This salon is not very reliable and some are not very personable or friendly.
We were incredibly lucky to have our wedding reception here. They do not typically close their restaurant for receptions, but they also offer catering. Their food and service are top notch!!
The flowers were delivered on time, looked gorgeous - even better than I imagined! Polly takes a lot of time with you to ensure she can get you exactly what your vision is - then she surprises you by giving it the slightly unique "Hyacinth" touch.
I would highly recommend Mary Roediger to either create your own custom made bridesmaid dresses (based on a pattern), or to do alterations for your wedding gown. She is located in Albany OH and her business location is at her house. She does a beautiful job!
Mike did an excellent job with the photos. They are a very accurate reminder of our entire wedding day, and he is very good at being in the right place at the right time. He is a PhD student in Journalism and has a lot of experience with wedding photography. I would recommend him very highly!
Evan is a wonderful man and spiritual leader at UCM (United Campus Ministry) and at the Unitarian Universalist church just outside of Athens. He is truly the perfect person for a non-denominational ceremony. He cares very much about getting to know you as a couple, and works with you to produce a wonderful ceremony that is personal.
I would give Heaven's Oven 5 stars for the incredible taste of their Italian Cream and Double Chocolate cakes we used for our wedding. Their cakes are nice-looking, but they do not decorate professionally which is the only reason I gave them 4 stars. If you care more about taste then looks for your wedding cake (like we did), then this is a fantastic choice!! We had our florist decorate them with flowers and used a cake topper from another wedding in the family.
