Olga, the owner of Efsimo was great!!! Her shop in Gazi, Crete is a small, but very welcoming establishment. Olga and her husband Alexi were both very friendly and helpful with all of our needs. We bought our wedding favors from Efsimo and they turned out to be amazing. All of our guests loved them, we actually ran out and will be ordering more to have her send to us in the States. Taverna Thea Papadakis in Rogdia, Crete is the most beautiful restaurant in Heraklio. The View (which is english for the name of the Taverna)has an out of this world view of Heraklio. The family that owns this taverna, make you will like family.
The space in Taverna Thea is open and airy. The details are so beautiful you do not even need much decor. For our wedding we only really added a few small arrangements with candles just to accent all the beautiful details and views the taverna already has. All the waiters and staff were amazing. If we want a view of a lifetime and service, Taverna Thea Papadakis in Rogdia, Crete is the place to go. If you want a true tradition reception, the Papadakis Family will be able to help you accomplish that.

Katerina with Gala event was a breathe of fresh air. Coming from so far and not having the knowledge of where to start with the decor, Katerina was exactly what I was looking for. She listened and took in all of my wants and ideas....she had everything from the church decor to the venue decor. She has an eye for detail and to turn any space into a magical space. She provided us with all the best options, flowers, bouquets, crowns for flowergirls, car decor, church & venue decor...anything you could think of she had. She was there to decorate and add all the small details that made her work extra special. She also was able to order us the tradition Cretan wedding bread for our reception tables. Shes a one stop shop. We loved it. To have your day of the wedding to yourself as a bride and groom, I recommend that you hire Gala event, Katerina to help with the onsite details and decorations.
