I could not have made my wedding happen without Liz. Planning a wedding in Blacksburg from Atlanta was a challenge, but it would have been impossible without Liz's help. I let her know when I would be visiting Blacksburg and she arranged all of my appointments, set up meetings with vendors, made excellent vendor recommendations, and kept the wedding on track. She never let me forget even the smallest detail. Liz was excellent to work with and everything you NEED in a wedding planner - organized, direct, and always looks out for what's best for her couple.
Hands down the best caterer in the Blacksburg/Roanoke area. Our food was absolutely delicious - from the hors devour during cocktail hour to the salads and entrees, I got nothing but compliments on our food. I also need to point out that we had an outdoor reception so all of the food was grilled outside on site. What Tammy and Randy and they staff were able to accomplish blew me away. They were wonderful to work with - patient and understanding about my budgets and timelines. And because they have an event facility, they are able to make excellent decor and environment/ambiance suggestions (ie: tammy suggested lining the path to the bathrooms with little lanterns for an added touch) something that small makes such a big difference when you get to your reception and see everything all together. I loved working with them and would not hesiate to use them again for any event I had in Blacksburg.
Neal Nance and Posh Events were fantastic. Neal knows his stuff and can work with any situation and make it work. After meeting with Neal, I felt confident that rain or shine my outdoor wedding would be perfect, my guests would be comfortable, and my tent would be gorgeous. It was all of that and then some. Neal does a great job of planning for the unexpected. He looked at my plans, told me what issues may arise, and planned for them - all while staying within my budget.
Kerri was an amazing addition to our reception. She is what I picture in my mind as "the perfect DJ" She played excellent music, kept the flow of the night going, and also took into consideration all my requests (must play songs, absolutely do not play songs, only bride, groom, & wedding party can request songs) and also there were several songs I asked her to play later in the night when the older guests were filtering out and she did that as well. She was great. What I liked best was that Kerri kept the party going without being obnoxious or interjecting a lot of commentarey and she was appropriately dressed. I had concerns about getting a DJ because of a previously attended wedding - the DJ was wearing a hiawiian print shirt that was unbuttoned to show his chest hair, he was a tad drunk and mispronounced a lot of names, and he talked THE WHOLE TIME. Kerri was the exact opposite and I LOVED IT. I would recommend her to anyone!
