I loved my cake. I gave them a picture and color swatch of what I wanted and they executed it very well.
The only thing I'd say is if you want a colored cake instead of white or ivory - know that you will be able to see small cracks in the icing. It didn't matter that much to me because my theme was vintage, but they didn't tell me that colored icing would do that.
I absolutely loved my wedding pictures. I wanted my pictures to have a vintage touch and Mary did so well with that. I love her work. She has a good eye to get good pictures in one shot.
I didn't feel like there was a lot of time to spent just taking pictures, so I got to enjoy my reception.
Where I am glad I had total control to design my flower arrangements and I the price couldn't be beat. They didn't have all the flowers I ordered, so I had to compromise on what flowers I used with no refund. The flowers I did have, a lot of them died the next day just a couple hours before my wedding - we had to have someone go "buy" more from them to replace them (specifically the ivory hygrangeas - which I had the most of). The flowers was the only stressful part of my day.
