The Strand was great at accomodating my bridal party on the day of the wedding. They even let us bring in champagne and snacks to help us celebrate! Betty was my hairstylist and Melissa was my makeup artist. I was a little disappointed that the airbrush machine was broken and I did not find out until the day of the wedding. However, I was pleased with the results of my makeup.
The cake was AMAZING!!! Nora was able to create the vision I had for my wedding cake AND bake a cake that tasted as good as it looked. It is one of the best tasting cakes that I had ever had!
Diane was GREAT!!! Not only was she an amazing photographer, she was also a great resource of information. Being a destination bride, she was able to recommend vendors and help calm my worries of planning a destination wedding.
After meeting with several florists, someone in town recommended Anna at Zavala's Flowers. Being long distance, I did have some trouble communicating with her on a timely basis. When my wedding party flowers arrived on my wedding day, I was disappointed that they were not exactly what I wanted. If i had it to do over again, I would have insisted on having a detailed quote in writing. However, the arrangements she created for the reception were great.
The Boiling Pot catered our rehearsal dinner. We wanted a casual, fun, outdoor dinner and what better way to do that than a shrimp boil on the bay? Dot was great at helping me create our special night!!
