Men's Wearhouse

Very professional, very easy smooth process and very affordable. We had groomsmen from different states and were worried about how to get it all coordinated, but it was easy. They were able to get measured and pay for everything at any of the thousands of Men's Wearhouses across the country. Everything came on time, nothing was missing.

Only negative: PAY ATTENTION TO THE RETURN date. OMG, they totally get you with that. It's the next day right after the wedding. We got married on a Saturday and returned them on Monday and had to pay $20 per tux for a late return. Our fault, but you should know.

We booked them 2 weeks before the wedding. They were great, very flexible, worked out a personal pacakge that fit our needs and budget. The day of we had Stacy and Katie. They were professional, encouraging, tooks tons of photos and were very creative. They also helped with alot of other stuff--like emergency lip gloss and figuring out the bustle. Absolutely love them and their work.

Wedding Mapper

We used wedding mapper to create a map for our wedding website and to create maps for our invitations, programs and for our rehearsal dinner event. Very easy to use, FREE and basically the best resource ever. We have recommended it to everyone we know--even for non-weddings.. just events. Everyone who used the online versions raved about them.

Alfred Angelo Bridal

The wedding gown (2003W) and the bridesmaids dress (grape, 7047) were from Alfred Angelo. Unfortunately, the nearest stores are about 2 hours from Silver Spring, MD. We used the LaVale store. They were so wonderful, excited and fun to work with. Everyone loved the dresses. I think they do a great GREAT job for plus size gals. My only regret--that the store was so far away and that I didn't take advantage of the free steaming they offered.

They claim that they don't do weddings. I couldn't get them to agree to do my wedding for months. one of the staff tipped me off that if you come in a week or two before the wedding the owner will agree to meet the emergency need. I came in a week before the wedding--and it worked. He doesn't like to do bouquets, but he totally did the reception flowers without a problem. He worked with my budget ($30 a table) and did a wonderful and creative job of it. I loved it! and would use them for other events as well. Highly recommend them.

Love their selection and personalization potential. However, we were doing bi-lingual invitations and we had to go back and forth 13 times (I am not exagerating!) because of the sloppy work--misspellings, wrong ink color, un-centered text, etc.. Just no eye for detail or the scale of the invitation. I was shocked, but I just kept sending the proofs back until they got it right. I know they were sick of me by the end of it. :)

Target

Poor. Poor service online. People found it difficult to use. When people bought things in the store and the registry was scanned things didn't come off of the registry. The registry basically didn't update with things that were bought. We ended up with a ton of duplicate items. Talk about difficult when we tried to return or exchange things. The SS store on CherryHill Road.... so rude, didn't want to take the things back or even provide a store discount. I had to call corporate. It was a mess. I love the store, but for the hassle--ask for gift cards, don't do the registry.

Custom Cake Design

I've been to other weddings that used them and the cake design is generally flawless. I found the same with mine. We went with a cheaper model and had no issues--execution is beautiful. Their cake is amazingly moist and tasty. They are very friendly and easy to work with.

My negatives. They absolutely would not give me a lavendar buttercream frosting. I didn't care what shade of purple it ended up I just wanted it purple and they wouldn't budge even a little. Later I saw pictures of a child's cake they did in that color. Kind of pissed me off--it's not that they can't do it, they were just being difficult. The other thing was the cake topper. I had a round acrylic topper which is a topper and has a base to sit on a cake but they wanted to glue it one of their bases and charge me $40 to do it. So silly. I refused and had the hotel person put it on the cake themselves after it was delivered.
