Stacy is the best up-do specialist in Petoskey. I loved working with her and I continue to get my hair colored and cut by her even though I live in Chicago (yes a long drive, but it's worth it). The atmosphere at La Dolce is so welcoming. Their front door is always open and you feel like family. There is nothing else like it.
I also had some facial treatments and Rachel is also amazing! I love those girls!
We had 8 bridesmaids, mother of the bride and mother-in law all getting pedicures and manicures. In Petoskey the only other place to get your nails done is in a salon and we didn't want to spend our precious day sitting for hours while one person at a time get's their nails done. So we brought in champagne and chocolate to Q nails and had so much fun! They did an awesome job on all the girls and it only took an hour and a half for all of us to get toes and nails done. They had 6 people working on us. I will go back! Awesome job
Corey was our DJ and he was amazing. I can't say enough amazing things about him. He was very professional and kept the crowd going all night. There was a mix of business executives to sorority and fraternity guys at the receiption and he read the crowd so well!!!
Sydney (the owner) is a sweet girl. After pricing all local florists in the Petoskey area she was able to give me the biggest bang for my buck. However, my bridesmaid flowers were dead in less than an hour after the ceremony and the petals were falling off the steam. The guy’s boutonnieres were falling apart. It was so embarrassing. I had paid for a sample of my bouquet for my bridal pictures that I had taken 2 days prior. The bouquet was gorgeous and perfect. The day of the wedding it was completely different. I was shocked. In addition, she was an hour and a half late to the ceremony. My planner exept calling her and she wouldn't answer the phone. Because she was late meant that I had no flowers for any of our pictures before the wedding? I learned to pay the extra money and get a more experienced florist and high quality flowers.
Sharron is the owner and she is very talented and works with the Perry Hotel often. We did her lemon cake with buttercream frosting and it's delicious. Unfortantly for me I did not know to ask what color the frosting was going to be. The outer frosting was yellow and I wanted a white frosting cake with a lemon inside. I'm not sure if it's the way she makes her buttercream frosting, but it was yellow frosting. All the guest loved it and no one even thought anything of the yellow frosting. I just knew. Overall, just ask her about the frosting color.
If I could give them 10 stars I would. If you want the real deal...these are the people to call. Wow, They call it the Ocken Experience. They tell a story with your day. They take your traditional photos, but capture the most breath taking photos. Spare no expense brides and get the best photographers. Your wedding day goes by so fast and you want to feel confident that you hired the best photographers to capture all the small details.
Here are a few samples of me on my bridal shoot.

We got our ring bearer and groomsmen attire from Petoskey Bridal. They were so nice and very professional. With a charge they steamed my bridal gown (I got in Chicago) and my mother in-laws gown. They were so nice to work with.
We went all out with an extreme tent system, glass chargers for ever guest, fancy linens etc. and they were very professional and willing to work with you. Go in with a vision, b/c they are not the most creative people. They don't specialize in just weddings for example, they rent everything. So, it's important you know what you are looking for. They allow cameras, so bring in a camera and play around with different table ideas. They have everthing you could imagine and they were great to work with. I would use them again.
