Professional, good quality equipment, played requested music and most importantly, kept the guests on the dance floor! Would highly recommend!!
Beautiful stationery, wide selection to choose from. Staff were patient and very helpful even when asking for hints and tips on how to make our own Church booklets ourselves rather than through them.
While the flowers were beautiful on the day, we had a lot of problems with their service and attention to detail. After getting many quotes from different florists we decided to go with Twigg & Blossom despite the fact that they were significantly more expensive because I fell in love with their extensive range of cut glassware which would have suited my vintage theme beautifully. Despite explaining in detail during the meetings and e-mails how I would like the tables to look with the cut glass & flowers, and sending them photos to confirm that we were all on the same page, I was extremely dissapointed to find that on the night all of our discussions had been ignored and no cut glass was used on the guest's tables at all.
On the morning of the wedding they had delivered the father of the grooms buttonhole to my house in error and even though they promised to deliver it back to him, this didn't happen and the father of the groom was left without.
While they charged us for delivery costs, we were surprised to find out a few weeks before the wedding that they were not willing to deliver the buttonholes to where the boys were staying and they insisted that the boys pick their flowers up themselves - this was despite the fact that the boys were staying at the Briars, a very small distance from where they are located
Lastly, on the day before the wedding, while having rehearsals at the Church we bumped into Jane who was delivering our Urns to the Church (with the intention of leaving them there overnight to save themselves time the following day). I saw the arrangement in the urns and was dismayed at the fact that they were mostly filled with greenery and very few flowers. Even more disturbing was that the flowers were wilted and they were not as I had requested (I requested for them to look exactly as the picture in their website and they confirmed via e-mail that this would be the case). When I asked whether this was going to be fixed in the morning Jane was quite rude to me and told me not to stress, that they were fine and they wouldn't have time to fix it in the morning, and that the flowers would "open overnight". I found out later that they did in fact go into the Church on the day of the wedding to add more flowers however by the time they did this, our guests had already arrived at the Church (ceremony was at 2:30pm) and they were told to wait outside until they were ready!!
On a positive note, my bouquet and bridesmaid's bouquets were absolutely beautiful however overall it was so unpleasant dealing with them given their lack of professionalism and they caused a lot of undue stress. For these reasons I would strongly suggest that Brides reconsider using them as a supplier particularly there are so many other cheaper florists that come highly recommended in the area.
I didn't look around for makeup artists, instead I relied on Yvette solely from all of the great reviews she had. Yvette is a very accomplished and professional make-up artist. Loved all the advice she sent her brides in the lead up to the wedding. It is important to have a good idea of how you'd like to look as she does have strong opinions of looks & colours which may not be what you're after. She is very good at listening however and will accomodate your requests after a bit of convincing. Found her to be great on the day and she got along well with all of the girls. She worked on me last out of everyone and actually ran out of time so was rushing the finishing touches. This was partly to do with the fact that I lost some time dealing with the Twigg & Blossom buttonhole debarcle. Her pricing is quite high for the area but the overall look was what I was after.
