As I'm sure you already know the whole wedding process can be every emotional and challenging and if you are anything like me easily stressful. I am a bit of a control freak who doesn’t know when to ask for help but within the first few weeks of planning I knew I was in for more than I could handle. Melissa was very resourceful in helping me connect with many top vendors in my budget and once I decided who to go with she handled all the rest. To be able to have my mom and family by my side on my wedding day instead of worrying about setting up everything was priceless. Melissa had both the ceremony and reception sites looking like a million bucks! Her knowledge, experience and creativity allowed me to have the wedding of my dreams while keeping me completely stress free (which is no easy task). THANK YOU MELISSA! She has a great passion for what she does but she waits until the last minute to get it done. I went to her because the price was very reasonable and I liked her ideas on what needed to be done to the dress. I gave her the dress 2 months before the wedding and it wasn't until 1 1/2 weeks before the wedding that she put the first stitch in. When I went to pick it up all that was done was the hem! To her credit I was losing weight so she was waiting until closer to the wedding to bring in the sides. The dress wasn't finished until 3 days before the wedding and when I tried it on the hips were uneven but it was too late to fix it. All day long I kept pulling up the dress and during the father daughter dance I almost flashed everyone when my dad spun me.
Clinique at the Macy's counter at VCC. I'm always so afraid that I will walk away looking like a drag queen but these girls know what they are doing. I took away 1 star because I didn't like the foundation choice that they used, it was too pail.
James had everyone dancing all night long! Great personality and was a lot of fun to work with!
I really had no idea what I wanted the cake to look like so I told Kalico Kitchen a little about the theme of our wedding and gave them full artistic control. Our wedding cake turning out beautiful, they nailed it! It was the talk of the reception! Oh and most importantly it tasted really good.
The photographer that they sent us showed up 45min late and left on time. He missed all the getting ready shots so when he finally got there we had 5 minutes to reenact as much stuff as we could. Although he did get a lot of good shots of our wedding there was nothing great, most of my favorite pictures were the ones that I asked him to take. Since we had an outside ceremony I wish that he would have paid more attention to detail and not gotten so many shots with cars in the background. I would have also of liked to have some shots showing the full view of the site, everything was a close-up he missed out on capturing the essence of the location. When they had asked me what shots were my must haves I didn’t realize that grooms parents weren’t a given.
On the plus side Bella had our pictures up on the website by the time we got back from our honeymoon and we received the cds about another week after that. Bella was also very apologetic about the photographer and refunded us for the hour he missed.
Jack and his staff went the extra mile on everything to make sure that our day was perfect! STRONGLY RECOMMEND!!
