Lindsay at The Paper Company spent quality time with me picking out paper colors, types, creating designs - and she designed the most beautiful invitation for our wedding! The invitation truly set the tone for the entire event! Lindsay does beautiful work, is a pleasure to work with, she stays on schedule and she is always willing and available to answer questions. I loved my invitations so much, I also had Lindsay create my wedding programs - which were also absolutely perfect! I highly recommend this company!
If you are looking for the best non-denominational officiant in North Carolina - this is who you need to get. Rev. Quaid immediately put me at ease during our first consultation. She has a very calming and loving personality but she also has a clear, strong voice that can be heard in a chapel without a microphone. She's perfect! I feel so honored to have had her perform our ceremony! She is a beautiful lady inside and out! When she speaks, you will want to listen. All of our guests were extremely complimentary of her. We love her!
Terrible. The measurements were off on the groom's shirt and both of the father's jackets were the wrong size somehow. The groom and the fathers were all measured at different stores so, it wasn't an issue of 1 person that didn't measure properly. Also, the shirts were dingy, dirty looking and the employee at our store that received my complaints was very rude to me. If you can possibly rent your tuxes somewhere else -- please do. Spare yourself this problem.
Carolina Bridal World has a huge selection of designer dresses for very reasonable prices and they are all very, very nice ladies that will quickly return your call and answer questions, however when I went to pick up my dress - it had a pin-prick blood spot on it so they had to send it out to be spot-cleaned. Because of the type of fabric, the spot-cleaned area left a different spot on the fabric. The blood was gone... but there was a residual cleaner spot. I asked for a free veil to compensate me -- but they were only willing to give me a free pair of shoes worth about $50.00. I took the shoes but was bummed that my dress wasn't perfect. None of my guests noticed the spot and even 2 months later at my wedding - I couldn't find the spot either.
I rented a Trolley from the City of Raleigh to transport my guests from the parking lot of the restaurant to the Chapel (also a City of Raleigh rental) for the ceremony and then back to the restaurant for dinner. The guests loved the Trolley ride, it kept everyone together and on time and the driver even gave a tour of downtown Raleigh when he realized we were ahead of schedule! I highly recommend using the Raleigh Trolleys to add a little something interesting to your guest transportation -- or just use it to transport the wedding party! We did that as well and also took beautiful pictures with the trolley as the background! Loved this!
I found Sweet Julia's when I needed a cakes for my October 2009 wedding. Her prices were slightly below her competitors and the pictures online were gorgeous so I thought I would check her out!! Our meeting was extremely well organized, her customer service was exceptional, she did not scrimp on the tasting cakes either - they were huge! She was very willing to offer advice, flavor combinations, design ideas -- everything. I decided to go with Julia because she truly "wowed" me! I made the right choice! My wedding cake was stunning!!! Everyone commented on how beautiful it was. She created gum paste fall leaves and mums for the cake that looked like real leaves and flowers! And... the room was so quite when people were eating the cake... because everyone was so focused on how delicious it was! Julia also made a custom groom's cake for us using the Pittsburgh Penguins logo for the design. She did a spectacular job recreating the logo and even added a beautiful gold cording on the outside of the cake. My groom was in awe of the cake and didn't want to cut it because he loved it so much!!! It was also.... unbelievable delicious!!! THANK YOU JULIA!!!!!!
For the past 10 months, I have been obsessively focused on my wedding day. Making plans, calls, getting quotes, doing interviews, picking food, flavors, colors, etc. I thought I could do it all. Everything was beautiful, streamlined, organized, problems were resolved without my knowledge of there ever being a problem. Kristen is AMAZING!!!! She did everything I needed and did it perfectly! I really didn't know what specific flowers I wanted, I only knew that I wanted fall colors. I pretty much just left everything up to Donna. I saw the flowers just before I walked down the aisle and was completely blown away!!! Donna is an amazing artist and she made the bouquets magazine worthy! The wreaths on the church doors were fabulous (and since they were fake - I still have them!), the pew markers were perfect, the altar arrangments were gorgeous, and the reception... the reception tables were like what I imagined in my dreams. All of the flowers were beyond perfect! Thank you Donna!
We just wanted to get away and relax.. no plans, just us and the dog. I found Bearadise Cabin online and.... it was PERFECT!!! The cabin was absolutely adorable, it had all the amenities we needed - technically, we could have just gone there with clothes packed and would have been fine! They have nice towels, sheets, every pot or pan you could need, even dish soap and extra coffee! Karen, the owner, called us after we arrived to make sure everything was okay! How thoughtful! We had a fantastic time enjoying the scenery, the cabin is close to everything in the NC Mountains, we were secluded, we were cozy and we really got to relax. It was perfect! We will definitely visit again!!!!
Renee was great to work with, she listened to my requests, had helpful advice, worked very quickly.. she's a professional! My dress alterations were superb!
