To save costs, we made some of the ceremony room floral decorations ourselves. Longacres have a good selection of flowers at a reasonable price.
Simon is a fantastic magician who kept everybody entertained for a couple of hours during the day/evening quiet time. Amazing tricks, and a friendly and helpful guy. It was expensive, but we felt it was money well spent!
Ragamama's catered our Indian food for the evening reception and did a great job. Food was delicious, portions huge and reasonable price. The service provided was very attentive but not over the top. We had their drinks package which was excellent value.
Lavender Green took a fairly late booking from us after our other florist let us down. Their service was great, and the design of the flowers was super. They are a top quality company (and prices to match). The only slight problem was that the bouquets started to wilt very early on in the day which was a bit of a shame.
We ordered some buttonholes and mother's bouquet a week before the wedding. Buttonholes were ok although very large. Bouquet was very disappointing - we asked for a large bunch of seasonal (March) flowers and ended up with a pathetic bunch of sunflowers! Not very impressed, but the person picking them up didn't realise, and it was too late to do anything by the time we realised.
Claire did a great job of hair and makeup for the bridal party. She is very talented and skilled, and remained calm throughout despite the stress of the party. The make up was natural but effective, and lasted well - as did the hair.
Aga is lovely, and took some good photos. I think it would have been better if she had given us more direction, especially for the posed shots. We chose not to have an album made to save costs, but found that the 1000+ photos we received on disk were a bit unmanagable and it would have been good if she had been able to sort them through for us.
Overall, very happy though.
Bill and his team were excellent throughout. The end product is very good and the work that they put into our wedding was phenomenal.
The table stationery etc we ordered was good quality, but the ordering process felt very stressful. Even worse, they were late sending the items out, so that we only recceived them on the morning of the wedding which was extremely stressful!
