It has been a month since the wedding and we are STILL getting compliments on how good the food was from Nick's Place! We chose the stuffed chicken breast, roast beef, and seafood newberg as our main entrees (they even allowed us to sub a pasta dish with the seafood newburg... how generous!), and all the side dishes, salads, etc. were equally as amazing as the tasty entrees. The food was simply spectacular! And we got all the leftovers!!
I independantly contracted Eric's company partner, Katie, for our wedding and I could not say enough positive things about my experience! She was nothing short of incredible! Typically they work as a tandem team, so they don't miss a moment. I would highly recommend hiring from this company!
Overall, I was happy with my dj. He did a good job at keeping the dance floor full and he only missed a couple of things on my short "please play/please announce" list, which was minor. In his defense, we had a lot of last minute changes that were made. I was also able to get additional services through him, such as outdoor speakers and uplighting, which made planning much easier! A one-stop-shop! He also has a limo fleet (which we did not need, so we did not book), if you are looking for transportation.
AWESOME TIME on the party bus!! There was plenty of room and our driver stopped at The Sloppy Duck, a potty break, and a beer distributor for us to refill on our way to the reception, as well! We could play our own music onboard, there was room to stand to dance, and our driver was great. Highly recommended!
If I were voting on enthusiasm alone and my personal thoughts on Joel himself, I would give him 5-stars. However, for what I paid for the flowers, I would have liked for roses to not be falling from my bridal bouquet throughout the day. I also did fresh flower hairpieces for my bridesmaids, and I wish he would have recommended a different flower than the hydrangea that we had decided on, because it was tough to fit in their hair and they also wilted quickly. It wasn't all bad, though: the bridesmaid bouquets were lovely, the boutonnières looked sharp, and my bridal bouquet did look great in pictures. I would say that as long as you aren't getting flowers from him on a day when he is providing flowers for 3 other weddings, I think he is a good choice!
NICK'S PLACE IS INCREDIBLE! The wedding was a month ago and we are still getting compliments on the food there! We also got to keep our leftovers! They were also great at being flexible with the menu-- we thought it would be too hot in the summer to serve a pasta dish, so they allowed us to choose a seafood dish in lieu! How generous!
On top of the catering, the wedding reception was flawless because of Sarah (the on-site coordinator) and her family. We stayed at the adjacent "Seasons Inn" with the entire bridal party, and it was so convienient and the Inn was beautiful! We took pictures in the field behind Nick's, which was stunning, and the kids in attendance had a great time running through that field when they weren't on the dance floor. They had a complimentary coffee bar for guests, which was a huge hit! The outdoor seating area at Nick's was also a huge hit because the weather was gorgeous for our big day! I HIGHLY recommend their service!
