Friend of The Bride

This is pretty much a tale of two timeframes. Vendor was extra attentive with email and phone throughout the planning of the wedding. Absolutely no complaints.

However, the day of the wedding, after the ceremony, we might as well have hired our photographer and DJ as the coordinator as they were the ones that kept us on timeline for when to cut the cake, how to cut the cake, when to be introduced for the first time as a married couple, when to do the bouquet/garter toss, when to do our first dance, when to have the best man do the toast, etc... We had our ceremony on the third floor of the Whitney Mansion and the air wasn't on...so EVERYONE is sweating...and my mother in law had to be the one to find the thermostat and adjust the temperature. I figured the coordinator woud notice and correct it. Nope. The Coordinator met me the day before the wedding and then had no idea who I was when I said hi to her the morning of the wedding. She had this weird look of "Who is this person talking to me?"" I think she thought for a moment that I was part of the waitstaff at the venue. Had 5-6 people in our wedding party and family mention that she was snippy towards them as well. Believe me when I say, the first time I saw her after the ceremony was 1.5 hours later when she was eating lunch with the other vendors. We hired her to make sure our ceremony and reception ran smooth...and it did. The ceremony I will give her credit for, but for the rest of the day...big thanks to our photographer Marci Curtis and DJ Mac Kelly. Without their help, we would of been flying solo and having to wing it. Would not recommend.

Marci Curtis - Wedding Photojournalist

Marci and Skye (her kiddo) were awesome. The pics were ready within 1 week. The pics, quite frankly...are breathtaking. They made us cry they were so beautiful. You must get the photo booth option. Stop your search, this is the person you want at your wedding shooting. You will feel like it's your best friend shooting your photos. Plus, she takes the photojournalist approach!! She tells a story with the photos you take. This isn't a "lets stand around like puppets for 2 hours and do 80 different poses" like photographers do. Marci did take some poses of the us and the wedding party at our request, but 95% of the pics were of us and our guests caught in the immediate moment. Brilliant!
