Bel Canto Chamber Players did an excellent job at our wedding. We had a trio of two violins and a cello that played during the ceremony seating, the ceremony, and during the cocktail hour. We gave them a copy of our ceremony itinerary and what we wanted played, and they were right on point. We had them play a random variety of songs of their choosing for seating and the cocktail hour, and it was fantastic. They were very professional, and little guidance from us. The guests thought our wedding was very classy because of them! They are based out of Mass., and you won't beat their prices.
Sharon is so easy to work with, and she will work up a price for pretty much anything you can dream up! Her prices are reasonable, and the cake is delicious! She made carrot cupcakes for our rehearsal dinner, and the crowd couldn't have been happier. They were a hit! We didn't think she could outdo those cupcakes, but our wedding cake was so yummy! Sharon uses real buttercream, which doesn't look as smooth as some wedding cakes, but it definitely tastes better! The cake was beautiful, and all the guests raved about how good it tasted. We had one layer of chocolate with a chocolate mousse-like filling, and the other two layers were white cake with white chocolate filling. The whole cake was covered in white chocolate frosting. If you want a tasty wedding cake, then I would suggest going to see Sharon Myers.
We had our wedding at a country inn, and Lipstick N Lashes came right to us! Their prices beat their traveling competitors, and they did a great job on me (the bride) as well as the mom, kids, and maids for both hair and make-up. Everyone loved the job that they did. The only complaint I had was that they got there a little too early. They had to start early, as there was only one hair person and one make-up person, but even the bride was done before 2:30, and the wedding wasn't until 5:00. My hair looked great, but the curls had fallen long before the party was over. I would recommend them, but make sure you specify exactly what time you want the bride's hair and make-up to be finished. I should also note that the make-up (minus the lipstick) stayed in place all night long. They really did a fantastic job.
Betsy was just amazing! She will spend as much or as little time with you as you think you need. She will incorporate religious elements or none at all. She helps to guide you, and she will always help if you need her. She even showed up early to mingle with the guests and take care of any loose ends that we may have forgotten! She stayed through the cocktail hour and our families' all loved her. We were nervous about how our families would react to our nondenominational ceremony, but I think they loved Betsy too much to even notice!
