The Elms Resort Hotel

Lacee & Greg (both wedding coordinators) worked their tails off for us and it showed. The reception was perfect. The food was delicious. There wasn't a single snag (or if there was, we never saw evidence of it). I highly recommend the Elms, especially Lacee and Greg. They're amazing.

Carolyn's Wedding Wonderland

Carolyn has been baking cakes for as long as I can remember. She is fantastic at what she does and she's so easy to work with; she makes this the best part of the wedding planning process.

Linda did a great job working with me over a distance (I was living in Chicago while trying to choose invitations). Her prices were very competitive with most other vendors I saw. She took what I described and made it into exactly what I wanted. We got our invitations in plenty of time to send them out. Linda also created our wedding programs and delivered them to the church exactly when I needed them, too!

Hall of Waters

I can't say enough about the beauty of this building. The City of Excelsior Springs worked with my family to arrange for the "water bar" area to be set up with tables and chairs for the rehearsal dinner. They bent over backwards to pull it all together and make the place shine. I love this building anyway; it was so special to show it off to our out of town guests. Awesome space for a rehearsal dinner! (We had it catered by Van Till Farm and had George Moon play guitar during dinner). Awesome.

Van Till Farms catered our rehearsal dinner at the Hall of Waters in Excelsior Springs. They have amazing food! Our guests are still (nearly 6 months later) talking about the breads and pies (you have to have the gooseberry). Their prices beat anything else we looked at in town - by far. They were eco-friendly (think sustainable farm) before it was cool.

George Moon

We hired George Moon to play classical guitar at our rehearsal dinner. He is a super great guy who really knows how to play guitar. He was perfect. He can often be found playing at the Willow Springs Mercantile in Excelsior Springs.

Jim and Daphne Bowman own and operate this cute general store/bistro/wine shop. They are a great couple who really know their wine pairings. Daphne was our bartender/resident wine connoisseur during our rehearsal dinner. She is such a pleasant person to deal with - she is a stress-reliever (a welcome thing the night before your wedding).
