Locks and Lashes

Brooke from the Locks and Lashes team did my hair and my bridesmaids' and we were so happy with it! She is very well priced and very friendly to deal with, highly recommended!

Elegant Settings

Gene and her team from Elegant Settings at Runcorn are very knowledgeable and experienced in decorations. Most importantly, they are very reasonably priced compared to many other vendors I researched, especially if you pay cash. They are particularly experienced with the Landmark Restaurant. Wonderful to deal with and they genuinely want to help you make your wedding what you dream of.

Burj Al Arab

The only 7 star hotel in the world, we skimped on Europe to stay at this amazing place in Dubai and it was worth every cent. A honeymoon is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and I honestly think this is worth the splurge! Go on, you deserve it!

Truly Madly Deeply

I researched many, MANY invitation places and this was the cheapest with the biggest variety. We made the trek to Sydney to visit their store and it was well worth it. Our invitations looked quite expensive but only cost us around $5! Highly recommended for DIY invitations.

Anton's Affordable Limousines

2009-10-13 08:51:06

Transport is one of the aspects I would have changed about our wedding. Very unprofessional! We paid him $100 deposit before the wedding, he arrived at the hotel, didn't ask for the balance and then wouldn't let us out of the car when we arrived at the ceremony venue until we paid him (I forgot the envelope with his cash at the hotel but luckily Mum had enough cash on her otherwise what would have happened??). I don't see the big deal as he was to pick us up after the ceremony anyway...did he think we were going to run away with his money?? Before I got out, Anton asked if I wanted the 'red carpet' which sounded nice so I said yes. Big mistake. It was this small piece of red carpet which he laid very crookedly and not flat on the ground so it looked HIDEOUS when I got out of the car... all images will be deleted of that which is a shame as I wanted my hot pink shoes to be featured as I got out of the car. The one positive is that the limo was indeed affordable, he didn't charge us for the one hour he waited... but the car isn't in good condition, there are dents and scratches. Make sure you tell him not to put the awful fake flowers at the back window bc we didn't know about it! If we didn't change our transport at the last minute (temperatures soared so needed airconditioning and the Rolls we booked didn't have it - another thing to watch for!) we wouldn't have bothered.

Floriginality

Jenny from Floriginality is AMAZING. She communicates well and genuinely wants to help you get the flowers you dream of on the day. My bridesmaids' flowers were very different from the norm and they turned out just like the picture I showed her. The flowers were undoubtedly a highlight of the day, they were so beautiful. Such reasonable prices for a wedding specialist! I highly, highly recommend Floriginality.

Street Majik

Peter Nguyen from Street Majik performed as magician at our reception along with 2 other magicians. They roved the tables and also put on a stage show involving the bride and groom. They are AMAZING to say the least and my only regret was that I didn't hire them for a couple more hours. Peter is very busy with the production of his DVDs (the latest one in Vegas) so book him ahead of time!

Danielle Robinson

2009-10-13 08:51:06

I cannot recommend Danielle enough. She is one of the few makeup artists who does AIRBRUSHING!! Enough said. Make sure you get yourself and all your bridesmaids airbrushed! Our makeup remained flawless all day long, I kept my makeup on for a while after as well. Danielle is so friendly and professional and she has won heaps of awards. Without a doubt, she is my favourite wedding vendor, she is that great!

Bora Couture

2009-10-13 08:51:06

My dress was a couture creation from Bora Couture and Bora herself drew my design from scratch at the first consultation. It is a very time-consuming and expensive process but the results were worth it. There were times when I felt uncertain (because unlike a ready-to-wear dress, you don't know for sure how the dress will look on you) but the dress I got was the dress of my dreams. I also bought my reception dress from the ready-to-wear range and I highly recommend it if you want a simple but stunning bridal gown (prices are very reasonable!).

Sheldon College

2009-10-13 08:51:06

Sheldon College provides string quartets and orchestras for special events and they played at our ceremony. They are wonderful to deal with and it's rare to be able to find a full orchestra who will play at a wedding.
