Footers Catering

I can't say enough about Footers and especially Colbert. We interviewed a number of local caterers and settled on Footers because of their reasonable prices and Colbert's friendly and responsive demeanor. As an out-of-town bride, I had a ton of questions and anxiety (as did my mother, who I think had Colbert on speed dial). Colbert always responded in a timely fashion with lots of reassurance. She is a problem-solver and helped tackle all of our issues before they could become an obstacle. She always had a suggestion and wasn't shy about speaking up and offering advice (that was always helpful and spot-on). Our tasting was fabulous (it was hard to narrow down our selections) and we thought so much of Footers and Colbert that we even hired them to cater our rehearsal dinner at the hotel (all the guests were invited, since they were all from out of town). The staff was AMAZING and extremely accommodating. My brother and his family went fishing on the day of the rehearsal dinner and had caught some fish. He spoke to the chef who was grilling on-site and asked if he would mind cooking some of the fish for us. The chef was so gracious - not only did he grill the fish, the staff worked to set up an extra display and included it on the buffet. It was such a sweet touch to be able to incorporate something that was provided by my family. When the wedding party arrived at the reception (ceremony @ Red Rocks, reception @ Boettcher Mansion), one of the servers noticed me and my bridesmaids sitting on a bench out front. She came over, took our drink order, brought us our beverages, and then even thought to bring us a sampler plate of the appetizers. Overall, working with Footers was a pleasure and worth twice what we paid!

Quality Mobile Sound

Ken was such a pleasure to work with...I can't recommend him enough. He was professional and obviously experienced. He was in touch with the latest music and his collection is vast. I was able to give him an entire list of song requests (6 hours worth of music) and he only came back needing a handful of files. He was prompt and courteous in correspondence...I never had to wait long for a response. We had the ceremony at Red Rocks and the the reception at Boettcher mansion. The transition between locations was seamless. He mic'd us for the outdoor session and the sound quality and volume was perfect. His equipment is built into Boettcher mansion, which provided for an amazing quality of sound. It is piped into every room and even in the outside patio and designated smoking areas. He offered to put up some lighting that he had just gotten that day for no charge. It was fantastic!! I would have paid upfront for it, had i known how much it would add to the ambiance and my pictures. Beautiful! He was lively and handled the introductions and announcements wonderfully. I highly recommend Ken Hiatt and Quality Mobile Sound!!

Colorado Wedding Officiant

I can't say enough great things about Josh! He provided exactly what we were looking for. The ceremony that he crafted was so personal and memorable...100% authentic and "us". His delivery was perfect (ranged from solemn and touching to lighthearted and funny) and we are SO happy that we found him. Not to mention, he cleans up nicely and was a great addition to our photos LOL! His fees are more than reasonable and he is super responsive - I never had to wait more than a day for a return email. Most of all, he is a down-to-earth guy...very laid back and has a great sense of humor. A ton of our guests came up to us after the ceremony and RAVED about how beautiful it was and what a great guy Josh is. I think that some of my friends even "friended him" on facebook - they had a great time hanging out with him at the reception. I highly recommend Josh, our Colorado Wedding Officiant!!

Jenny was an absolute pleasure to work with. She answered all of our questions patiently and helped guide and advise us while planning the schedule for the day (which doesn't sound like such a big deal, but was one of the more stressful points for me). She is always prompt and on time and was very good about answering email and returning phone calls. She is great at corralling and instructing people for posing and expressing exactly what she is looking for. She is spontaneous and creative. We had a lot that we wanted to include in our wedding day photography and she worked to get it all! She even hiked the stairs in Red Rocks so that we could get pictures on the stage :-)

Jenny has such a amazing way of capturing emotion in her photos. The slideshow that she presented to us has made every single person tear up that has watched it. The moments that she caught are so tender and sweet. It was nice to see things that we missed or didn't really get to savor on the day - it flies by so fast!

Jenny put together a very reasonable package for us. She presented us with a ton of options and helped us select what would give the most "bang for the buck". My mother balked at first when she heard what photography packages cost these days, but she has said numerous times now, after the fact, that it was the best money that we spent on the entire wedding. I think she watches the slideshow at least 10 times a day :-)

All in all, I highly recommend Jenny from PhotoJennette to photograph your special event!!

ShutterBooth

Randy was awesome to work with. He responded to all of my questions promptly and pleasantly. He arrived early and even kept the booth open a little later than scheduled. My guests LOVED the photobooth. The pictures are hilarious and make for an awesome keepsake. Some of the props (hats, boas, etc) ended up on the dance floor and added to the fun. My mother was against the idea during the planning process because she just didn't see the value in it. The day after the wedding she couldn't stop raving about it and what an awesome addition it made! We brought a USB thumb drive with us and Randy copied all of the photos to it at the end of the night, so we had them immediately. He also shipped a DVD of all of the photos, which was waiting for us when we returned from our honeymoon. I highly recommend Shutterbooth for your event!

Brilliant Blooms

Allison at Brilliant Blooms was such a pleasure to work with. As an out-of-town bride, i was very nervous and had a ton of questions. She responded to all of my emails and calls promptly and pleasantly. She reassured me and soothed my anxiety. I showed her some pictures of what I had in mind and she provided EXACTLY what I wanted. The bouquets were gorgeous. The centerpieces were perfect. She decorated the tables and set everything up according to our plans. The reception room looked beautiful! She worked within our budget and was able to let us know where we could cut corners to save. I highly recommend Brilliant Blooms!

Elegant Bakery

Chef Janusz was AMAZING!!! By far the best cake tasting that we had - and we had around 8. We were blown away by his creative vision. We were thinking something along the lines of simple cupcakes....he began sketching (yes, sketching!!) and described to us how they will not be "just regular" cupcakes....he was going to scoop out the top and pipe filling into them and then dip the tops in hard chocolate. As a finishing touch he placed our monograms and tiny hand drawn icing flowers on the top. They were SPECTACULAR! Our guests raved about them. I had to bring some back from Colorado to put in our freezer in Florida - that's how good they were. He also made a small tier of cake for us to cut, decorated in a complementary style, along with mini key lime tarts. The presentation on the cake table was beautiful!! All of this, and he was able to come in under our budget. I highly recommend Chef Janusz and Elegant Bakery!!

RashawnRose

I went to Rashawn Rose on a whim in December because I received an email from the knot that they were having year end clearance sale. I was frustrated and uninspired by the chains like David's and Alfred Angelo, but did not have the budget/waistline to really shop in a boutique (or so i thought!). I called to make an appointment and was assured that they did have my size and plenty to choose from in my price range.

When i arrived at my appointment (she was able to squeeze me in after work on a weekday, very convenient), the store owner (Rose) was there to personally greet me. She locked the front door of the store and gave us her undivided, personal attention for over two hours. She helped me choose several BEAUTIFUL gowns. The prices were incredibly reasonable for top of the line designers. I was torn between two dresses, but picked out "the one" that very night. Rose was amazing to work with. She was very sweet and personable and was not afraid to voice opinions and give guidance when asked. Her experience really showed in that she knew what would look good (even if i didn't!) and how to accentuate the positive.

The dress that i chose had a zippered back, but I really wanted something that laced up. The seamstress (Anna) was able to actually create a corset-style, lace-up back in the dress for me! I had multiple fittings where we tweaked some details and, in the end, it is seriously my one of a kind, DREAM dress. The entire staff is so wonderful and helpful. Cathy was at most of my fittings and taught my mom and MOH how to work with my bustle and properly tie the corset. She was also very insightful and gave lots of great ideas and suggestions (and re-assurance!) with the tailoring.

I also ordered my bridesmaid's dresses here. My only advice is to order early!! Our dresses took a while to come in from the manufacturer, but it all worked out and Rose made sure that we were able to fit in all of the tailoring in time.

Overall - AWESOME experience.
