I worked with Jessica for my makeup and she did a wonderful job. She did my makeup, my moms and all the bridesmaids. Everyone looked really natural but even more beautiful than they already do! The makeup lasted well throughout the night and looked great in pictures.
We used Black Tie for bridal party transportation to the wedding as well as transportation to and from the airport for our honeymoon. On all these occasions, the vehicles were beautiful and clean and the drivers were very friendly and timely. I think they might be a little more than some other local limo companies, but I felt they were worth it.
We got this recommendation from a friend who used them at his wedding last year. We had 1 large 54 person coach bus and 1 medium sized shuttle that held 30 to transport our guests from the hotel to the reception and back. For the amount of time we had the buses and the size of the buses, I believe it was a good deal. They were easy to work with and we had no issues with directions or timing.
This band was fantastic. They played all of our must haves and even let me cousin sing with the band (family tradition). I couldn’t be happier with their performance – dance floor was never empty even during dinner.
I went to look at bridesmaid dresses with my girls at a shop in Waltham and they tried on a bunch of styles until we decided on Bill Levkoff #971. The cost at the bridal shop was $175, but Netbride quoted me at $105 per dress – a significant discount. It was really easy to order through Netbride and the dresses came in early and looked great. The only tough thing is the girls had to figure out their own sizes using the website, which can be tricky. Netbride can give you a quote on most designers so I would definitely check it out if you want to save your girls some money.
I went with my husband to look at tuxes at this location and the woman was very helpful and took the time to go through different styles and colors. The only issue is that this place can get very busy on the weekends so expect to wait a little while for your turn. I am pretty sure there were no issues with the tuxes – at least if there were I had no idea!
Michael was a pleasure to work with – very professional and you don’t really seem him while he is taking. He stayed at the reception an extra 45 minutes beyond the amount of time he was required. We received the final photos in only 4 weeks after the wedding and they look amazing. The detail shots are so beautiful and he captured some great “action” shots on the dance floor.
Annette works out of her house in Revere and is therefore a bit lower in cost than other florists we looked at. I had a good idea of what I wanted for bouquets and centerpieces and they came out pretty much like I wanted. I was very pleased with the flowers, but a few flowers on my bouquet were slightly wilted when I got it – not too noticeable, but I saw them and I hope the photos don’t pick up on it. Annette is really good about working within budgets and has great ideas.
