Greg was awesome. He went out of his way to find some obscure instrumentals for me for the ceremony and attended the rehearsal to make sure we had all our cues right. Once we started telling him what kind of music we liked and what songs we wanted to hear (and didn't want to hear), he seemed to understand exactly what to play. The mood he set for cocktails, dinner, and teh reception was right on. He was fun, without being overbearing or making himself the center of attention.
If your reception is downtown, Dream Bakery is a little out of the way, but it is so worth it. The cake was both delicious and beautiful. We also had the particular desire to find a bakery that could make a sugar-free cake option for a hypoglycemic bride, and Dream Bakery was one of the only places we found. Although the wedding cake was made with sugar, they also make a fabulous Splenda carrot cake or cheesecake.
Alison loves flowers, and it shows in her work. I frankly didn't have any idea what kind of flowers I wanted, and she was able to spend time and show me different options and choose something beautiful. And, she came in under my budget.
I simply cannot say enough good things about Bill & Karen Peary. They take beautiful pictures; everytime I look through them, I relive the joy and excitement of the day. They are also wonderful people who were a pleasure to work with. They were easy to talk to, willing to negotiate on packages to fit our budget, took care to get the shots we wanted, and were gracious to our guests throughout the wedding.
By the end of the wedding, Kim felt more like a friend than someone I had hired. She acted as our day-of coordinator and made sure I was able to enjoy the day without being bothered by little details. My guests thought she was fabulous and everything ran so smoothly it seemed like magic.
We left our reception via horse and carriage, and it was beautiful. The driver was fun and took us on a lovely, romantic ride before bringing us to the hotel.
