The Morrigan was one of the best choices we made for our wedding. They're a Philadelphia-based Irish traditional band who set the perfect nostalgic but fun and lively tone for our reception. They brought 6 musicians who alternated configurations depending on the mood, and one of them had played with Van Morrison. We couldn't believe the magic we got for our money.
Believe it or not, this bus may have made our wedding. We were worried about our guests' having to drink and drive, so we hired this tour bus to pick everybody up from 3 different hotels and bring them to the reception and then afterward take them back on a circuit every hour for four hours. It was tough to plan, but Martz worked with us, and the driver was wonderful. I fear people had more fun on the bus than they did at the reception!
Steve took many, many stunning photos of our ceremony and reception. We picked him because of his gorgeous journalistic style portfolio and his experience as a Star-Ledger photographer. I have to say we were a little disappointed that he also seemed to miss a lot of shots we would have thought were essential, like our parents coming down the aisle. It probably had a lot to do with our very short, unconventional ceremony, and we should have met with him beforehand to plan a little better.
We've read so many terrible things about mining for precious metals, and we didn't need expensive jewelry to show off our commitment. So, we found an artistic and ecologically conscientious jeweler in Turtle Love Committee. Our rings are unique and beautiful, and TLC was very nice about our exchanging both rings when they didn't fit (must have lost weight since the initial sizing).
