Jessica A. Painter has been capturing images for several years.  

Beginning college with the goal of becoming a photographer, she was swayed by an interest that grew in the field of journalism. Working part time as a Sports-Writer while attending college Painter built on the skill of creating images through the art of writing.  

Graduating from The College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York with a B.S. in Public Communications, she continued a career that soon became award-winning journalism and finally led her to Manhattan where she worked as an editor for two different financial publications.

In 2001, Painter’s photography was revived and she began creating images through photography once again, accepting an offer from an old friend to photograph her wedding. Realizing a lost talent, Painter made the decision to go back into the world she once knew, and refreshed her skills with the art of portraits, wedding photography, and timed exposures.  

Now, instead of writing to create an image, she works to create new images through her own inspirations, making life and stories through the lens of the camera.  

Painter has become a highly regarded wedding and events photographer, and is sought out throughout both the New York State Region and New England. She has photographed for both retail enterprises and fashion designers.
