My dress was about $800 in bridal salons, and who knows what they were going to charge for alterations. I only paid $400 for the exact same dress, and I ordered my bridesmaid dresses at the same time and we all got free shipping! The only drawback was that you have to wait a long time for your dress and it is very nerve-wracking!!!!

My initial experience was ok – but that turned into an awful experience over the year that I did business with them.

I purchased my bridal gown, 7 bridesmaids dresses, and my alterations from House of Brides. I would never send anyone to this vendor. It was a horrible experience. I still swear that the dress they gave me was not the dress I ordered. Additionally, I was not allowed to try on my dress after alterations. My dress on my wedding day was not fitted correctly which I blame on them for not allowing me to try it on after my alterations. Horrible business, horrible service, horrible employees. I have never met employees that we so rude – especially to a bride.

Store went out of business after we ordered the brides maid dresses. We were assured by the owner Shannon we would get them – however that never happened. We found out a week before the wedding and we ended up ordering from J Crew. They were fantastic.
