Historic Avenel is a plantation home built in 1838 and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and is part of the Civil War Trail. This beautiful home provides affordable elegance for weddings, receptions, class reunions or parties. We have 1/2 day, full day, and two day rates, of which are very reasonably priced. The facility accommodates up to 300 people for indoor receptions, 80 for seated banquets, and 400 including porch and grounds. Weather permitting, the wrap around porch provides and excellent indoor/outdoor party atmosphere.
