Hoffman's Fine Pastries

This vendor had the best cake tasting! Samples were not freezer burned, icing was fresh, and fillings were decadent. They had the best chocolate cake, a lovely sponge cake (lighter than traditional white), and lemon curd (not the gross gelee everyone else uses). We love their Princess cake (sponge cake with raspberry filling covered in marzipan), so we modeled our tier after that...when sponge with lemon curd...and chocolate with a raspberry mousse/buttercream. Delicious! No cake was left! The only issue with this vendor was that the scroll work (only contrast color against marzipan on cake) arrived a purplish brown when we provided samples of a lovely autumn red. We had to dim lights and contact the bakery at later date, as the delivery/set-up person took no responsibility for informing the bakery of the concern the day of the wedding. The store owner was very polite and provided not only some compensation but also gift card to satisfy. We continue to buy from this bakery.
