MAP is a 2500 sq. ft not-for-profit gallery and arts organization located in downtown Baltimore in Power Plant Live. Gallery Hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 11am-5pm. The Maryland Art Place is a center for contemporary art established in 1981 to: develop and maintain a dynamic environment for artists to exhibit their work, nurture and promote new ideas and new forms, and facilitate reqarding exchanges between artists and the public through educational leadership. In addition to presenting an average of twelve exhibitions annually in our downtown gallery space, MAP organizes traveling exhibitions, offers a variety of educational and performance opportunites, and serves as a rentable space for the community.
