Maribelle Cakerty

Sadly, this vendor was a big disappointment for us. My husband and I were both very excited about our choice to use this vendor after our tasting...the cakes are delicious. In fact, we both raved for months about the cake and were both really looking forward to our guests' reactions to it. Unfortunately, the rest of our experience went downhill fast. I had to e-mail her multiple times before Beth Anne even acknowledged that she had received my messages. Two days before our wedding, she was calling me asking for the final payment, not remembering that she had cashed a check for this payment weeks beforehand. On the day of our wedding, she was over an hour late from her "guaranteed" time to set up the cake. Multiple calls to her number went straight to voicemail, with a recording saying the mailbox was full...not something a bride needs to deal with moments before walking down the aisle! When she finally showed up, she was extremely rude to my family member who was appointed to check everything over. She ignored this person when they pointed out that there was strawberry juice from the filling oozing down the side of the cake. She made no attempts to fix it, and all of our pictures unfortunately show that line of red dripping down the tiers. Most disheartening of all, the cake looked nothing like it was supposed to. I had sent Beth Ann several pictures of what I wanted the cake to look like, and she assured me should could make ours look the same. In the end, the only similarity to my vision and what we received is that the cakes were at least square.

All of that said, I will admit that the cake was still very good. Good enough to be worth all the headaches? No, but our guests did ooh and ahh over the flavors as much as we'd hoped when we booked this vendor.
