After contacting HRM in Toronto (our first choice for wedding photography as they were recommended to us by two other friends), we were told that they were completely booked for our day. They offered us a list of other photographers that they recommended or have heard get recommendations from. ALP, a Niagara based photographer was one fo those vendors. Amanda photographed our Engagement and wedding shots. There was a second shooter to capture the wedding day. Amanda's kind personality made my husband and I comfortable posing and loving eachother in front of the camera. Amanda was in contact with me about picture spots on the big day and did not hesitate to give her two cents about modifying the itinerary for the better. Three points of advice I have is this:
1.) Niagara is not Toronto, there will be a travelling fee for using ALP.
2.) Expect delays with extraneous details like delivery of note cards directing your guests in thank you cards to your ALP wedding day website - they get pretty busy and booked up and for some odd reason (whether miscommunication or what) we waited two months for ours.
and 3.) Be explicit about what photographs you want from the day. If you want your entire family on some front steps, she will make it happen. Plus, you can never take back the day, it goes by fast. Don't be stuck saying "I wish we did this..." after the fact. PLAN AHEAD!
