If I have one regret from our wedding, it is that we let Gwyn anywhere near our special day. She was originally hired as a consultant to help figure seating and do some draping. She then convinced us that she could do flowers, linens, tableware, and basically everything but baking the cake, catering and DJ-ing the event, so we hired her. Leading up to the weeks before the wedding I felt very secure that we were in good hands, although there would be weeks with no returned phone calls. I remained optimistic, because she is so good at reassuring a bride. In the end, there was no draping or lighting done at all. Supplies that were paid for- like the candy favor bar and paper lanterns above the dance floor- were not brought and set up at the site. She didn’t show up to decorate the reception venue until 2 hours before the wedding despite her having access to the site the entire week before and promising me that she would have it done well in advance. The floral was a mess; flowers that were paid for but that she "threw away because they sent the wrong color" were not replaced, so the large vases on the tables would have remained empty had our friends/guests not offered to run to Wal-Mart and buy them before we arrived. In addition, she and her "crew" were dressed so unprofessionally that it was embarrassing. I would also recommend running a reverse Google image search on any images she has on Facebook or a website, and getting references with actual photos from actual brides, although she seems to have removed most of the stock photos that she claimed were her work when I asked. She is an amazing saleswoman....but to say delivery is a disappointment is an understatement. If you choose to use her, get every single detail down in writing and prepare to be in the hairdresser's chair, wondering if she's going to show up.
