When my future husband and I met with Doc in Lincoln nearly a year before our wedding, he seemed like a great DJ, didn't talk too much like others we had met with, had everything on his computer and was nice. About a month beforehand, we submitted our music requests (special songs, do not play, etc.) and all the other information he had requested. On the day of our wedding, however, it was like he hadn't even read what we had sent him. He played the right songs for our dedication dances but otherwise he was difficult to work with - playing songs/artists we had specifically said not to play, playing dinner music all night until our photographer said we needed to get the speeches and dedication dances going because it was late, arguing with our mothers about starting dinner early and refusing to do so until my husband contacted him while we were taking photos, going to the bar to watch the Husker game instead of manning his DJ booth, setting up his equipment on the dance floor, etc. It was the biggest disappointment we had out of all our vendors, because he had seemed so good when we first met him.
