Making the Moment is a creative photography company specializing in lifestyle photography for couples, families ,seniors and individuals. Our unique brand of photography is a highly innovative blend of candid creativity and momentary inspiration. We provide artistic, modern, photojournalistic based photography all across the great state of Ohio – and are available for travel worldwide. Our photographers are highly trained experienced photographic artists, that love to work and create.
Like many photography companies, our roots are planted in serving our friends and families while honing our skills. Founder & Chief Photographer Brett Yacovella started the business in 2005, officially incorporating the business in 2006. With much work, dedication & Passion, we’ve been fortunate enough to serve and photograph many wonderful events and people. We currently staff 3 phenomenal photographers, all of whose writings and imagery you’ll see in our blog, or across our site.
Believing in the need for professional accountability and growth, we are an upstanding member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA). Referrals and Recommendations are on hand, and can be provided upon request.
Making the Moment Photography is an active advocate of good photography practice and a deep supporter of the arts and art education. To help further the photographic community in the greater Cleveland area, we offer internships and assistantships to students and young photographers alike.

As soon as we got engaged, the first thing I did was look into wedding photography, as it was the most important thing to me. I soon found Brett at Making the Moment and knew that there was no feasible other option for our big day, as nothing else could even compare. His portfolio speaks volumes and the images he produces are absolutely breathtaking. I am a pretty picky person when it comes to photography, and I didn't think the style that I was looking for was even out there, until I found Making the Moment. The professionalism coupled with the creativity and incredibly high skill level of Brett was even more than I could have ever asked for in terms of a wedding photographer. Communication before our wedding, during, and after was great. The images we received from our wedding were beyond our expectations and were not only well-taken, they were beyond perfect. Post-wedding, we received our Story Books that we included in our package and they were absolutely stunning. The time and effort that went into them made for an incredible keepsake of our wedding day. Overall, I would ABSOLUTELY recommend Making the Moment to anyone out there who truly cares about their wedding images and getting service and photos that are exceptional beyond comparison.
