Lumine Photography

My husband and I contacted Lumine Photography in January of 2010. Joshua was having a "contest" for free wedding photography, and he contacted us to let us know that we had won. Initially, of course, we were ecstatic. Communication was a little sparse at first, but we did sign a contract with him. After that, we didn't hear from him for some time. Then, two weeks before the wedding, my husband called him to confirm everything for the wedding, and he never called us back. I sent him an email asking if we should look for someone else. He wrote me back 3 days later apologizing for his lack of communication and promised us he would be there. He was there! He showed up on time and worked for 10 hours! We were really happy with him and tipped him $500 for all of his effort. He told us we would have our pictures within 4 weeks (also in our contract). We were very excited as we took some really cool pictures at the butterfly exhibit at Tucson Botanical Gardens and even got to take some with the resident Donkey at the ranch where we were staying.

This is the last we have heard or seen of him. It has been now 3 months since the wedding. He will not respond to e-mails or phone calls. He signed for a certified letter that we sent him, but he has not responded. He has pictures of our one and only wedding day and it looks like we will never seen them.

We are in a worse position than if he had canceled before the wedding because we are out $500 and have no pictures. I can't fathom why he would offer something like this if he wasn't going to follow through. We don't want this to happen to anyone else.
