Studio Artist:

Chris Buzbee thoroughly enjoys her career as a designer, beginning with her attendance at Parsons School of Design in NYC and working as a young designer with her own business. Chris opened her first salon in the resort of North Shore, Lake Tahoe with a commitment to hair design as another incredible form of beauty and expression.

Out of a need to heighten her education she moved back to the Bay Area and immersed herself in hair color, styling and treatment. She was approached to teach make-up and hair application for a leading hair care distributor which progressed to the position of International Education Director for Salon Research and Development, traveling world-wide to train the trainers who would in turn, train hairdressers.

The last ten years has seen Chris happily charming her clients at her studio in Rio Del Mar. When an unexpected offer came from Carmel, Chris’s design energy bubbled to the surface and soon the doors were opening to Carmel’s totally unique hair design studio and makeover spa experience.

As a hair designer for the past eleven years, I have been dedicated to offering my clients the latest techniques and superior products this industry has to offer. It is my goal to achieve beautiful healthy hair with every cut, color, high-lighting, or re texture services I do. I am always committed to enhancing your natural beauty!

Bio Ionic: Kera Smooth re texture Services helps to smooth and make extremely curly hair manageable, while keeping it in great condition. This product has no Formaldahye, or any of its dangers. Your natural curl reverts after 3-4 months.

And, Bio Ionic Retex Straightening, which makes curly and unruly hair -super straight and silky smooth -permanently.

Finally, I have achieved advanced training in Locks of Length Micro Lock- individual- human hair extensions, and Invisaline -weft adhesive extension applications.

Either of these Hair Extension techniques will add length, texture, and volume for clients with fine, straight, limp hair, and for those who suffer from Alopecea and need a method for prosthetic hair replacement.
