When Visual Artist Brandi Mays took her first photography class at a community college in Virginia, she knew she had found her passion. Brandi loved preserving memories with her camera. The small college in Virginia she attended however was very limited. Realizing this small obstacle Brandi decided to pursue her career in photography and attended Maine College of Art where she received her BFA in photography.
Within Brandi’s last year at MECA she discovered that photography wasn't enough for the artist in her. Brandi soon realized the benefits of sound and motion that only video can offer. Armed with these extra dimensions of production Brandi was able to express herself to almost no limit.
Brandi loves capturing wedding stories! Her unobtrusive approach makes many couples completely forget she is there, yet the results in her work will constantly make you wonder how she captured it all.
The documentary style Brandi films in is probably the most popular of the couples that choose Brandi to preserve their special day, however she also will custom tailor your wedding video to the couples creative wishes. This is an aspect of creating your wedding story that Brandi loves.
When Brandi’s not filming or editing weddings she's out capturing the world. She just recently completed her first short film, which was immediately selected for the coveted Spaghetti Junction film festival in Atlanta, GA.
