Award-winning Sweet Sue has been delighting brides throughout Maryland for the past 20 years with her custom designed wedding cakes. From simple to spectacular, Sweet Sue’s creations are the centerpiece of any special event. Sweet Sue’s Bakeshop & Coffee Bar was voted "Best Bakery" and "Best Place for Dessert" in 2006, 2007 & 2009 by the readers of Bay Weekly. In 2008, we received the Bride’s Choice Award as the top-rated wedding cake vendor in Maryland by brides on the WeddingWire. In 2009 Sweet Sue's was selected as Best of Weddings by brides on TheKnot. Without exception, our brides are thrilled with their cakes.

By appointment, Sue works with each bridal couple’s personal preferences, wedding theme, colors and budget to create a stunning wedding cake. Wedding clients taste cakes and view photographs of cakes to determine the flavors and style they prefer. We use made-from-scratch buttercream icing, which can be smoothed to have the appearance of fondant (but tastes much better.)

Sweet Sue’s will deliver and set up each wedding cake, working with the caterer to ensure the best presentation possible. We work with the florist, requesting that the flowers be on site two hours before the event for placement on cake. Thus we ensure that our contribution to the perfect event is completed in a timely manner.
