We worked with Chef's Catering because they were recommended by our reception venue, the Proven Ground Farm on 8/11/2012. The food was very good, but not what we ordered. They said that they will make any dish if you have a favorite recipe so I provided one. As the bride I was the first person down the buffet line and when I got towards the end I had to ask what one of the dishes was and the staff told me it was my chicken dish. I had ordered a dish with Alfredo sauce, bacon , onion and peas. This this was just chicken and Alfredo sauce with nothing else added. All of the guest still loved it and probably didn't notice the difference, but I was really excited for my dish and was disappointed it was not right. We also paid Chef's $50 for cake cutting service. The staff did not know how to cut the cake and the bartender that we hired separate had to help the staff cut the cake. The staff then piled plates of cake on top of one another and got frosting all over the bottom of other plates. This was unprofessional and my parents had to take away from their precious time at the reception to move cake. THEN, the staff did not clear the dishes as I was told they would. The owner of the venue had to clear all 110 plates herself and this took a long time so guest had plates at their table for a very long time which I thought was unacceptable. To top it all off, we almost ran out of our main dish, and the veggie trays were very sparse! Everyone did love the food they got though, I just wish my parents didnt have to do so much work and the staff would have done their job.


This is the caterer which we used. The food is good, and the price is reasonable. Also, he really made the food look beautiful as well as delicious. The only problem is the owner is very busy and can sometimes be hard to get in contact with.
