Built in 1901 for a wealthy businessman, the Burroughs Home was one of the first Georgian Revival style homes of this quality built in Fort Myers. Situated in the historic riverfront section of town, the house is furnished with select original family pieces and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The elegant two and a half-story home features a fabulous covered veranda, Florida pine floors, fourteen-foot ceilings, and a grand staircase. Some historians attribute the home’s classic style and superb workmanship with transforming the standards of wealth and success in the turn-of-the-century Fort Myers. With over two acres of stately oak trees which shade the lawn on the banks of the Caloosahatchee River, the Burroughs Home is the ideal setting for your extraordinary wedding, reception, bridal shower, bridal tea and rehearsal dinner.
