In early 2008, the whisk was passed to husband-and-wife team Jon and Laura Brennan who are continuing Plum’s proud tradition while embarking on environmentally conscious catering. Jon and Laura have both enjoyed successful careers in the culinary field. Laura is a graduate of New York University and the French Culinary Institute. She focused her efforts on the business end of catering, working on the opening team for the Abigail Kirsch Pier 60 location in Manhattan and while serving as food and beverage Director for the Chelsea Piers property. Jon has spent many years behind the stove as a prep cook, pastry chef, and Executive Chef at some of New York’s top-rated spots, including Restaurant Daniel, Restaurant Pallard, The Plaza Hotel, and Abigail Kirsch Catering. His culinary wizardry has been featured at a wide variety of events, including Time Magazine’s 75th Anniversary party, the Annual Gotham Awards, Movie Premieres (King Kong, American Gangster), upscale Weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, and Society Balls.
