Flowers By Design

Worked with Jamie, the owner. initial meeting went very well. after that I was really disappointed in her customer service. she was difficult to get in touch with. had to remind her many times of imprtant details. did wrong color centerpeices the day of wedding. I went out of my way to give her constant email updates and reminders and still she was not prepared. charged me for columns that I said I did not want.the flowers turned out okay. I initally chose her because the inital meeting went well and her prices were the lowest, but was pretty disappointed with her service; I guess you get what you pay for.

Flowers are such a tricky thing to order. You never really know what you're going to get.

Here are the "pro's" : I liked my bouquet and the guys boutineres. Jamie used almost all of the different flowers and plants I requested. Guests commented on how unique the centerpieces were.

Here are the "con's": There were a few things that were very different than I had asked making me think she didn't really listen during our conversations. For instance, I told the her that I didn't want a lot of cut flowers and she used a lot of wasabi button mums which are a very cheap cut flower. I also told her that I don't like orchids and didn't want any in the floral pieces, and she put green orchids in the centerpieces. I also wanted succulents in the centerpieces which were not there. I gave her detailed pictures of what I wanted things to look like and looked NOTHING like the pictures!

Responsiveness wasn't very good. It took her quite a long time to get back to me everytime I called or emailed.

The flowers were delivered over an hour late to the venue and a boutinere was missing.

I really just got the feeling like she didn't want to do my wedding flowers.

Conclusion: All in all, I think the flowers will look fine in the pictures, but I really wouldn't recommend this florist if you want anything different and artistic. If you have booked her, be sure to explain in exact terms what you want and you have to constantly stay in front of her to be sure she does what you want.
