Description

Come see why hundreds of couples have chosen Woodlawn Plantation and Gardens to share their special day with family and friends in traditional Southern style. Our rolling lawns, flower gardens and century-old Oaks create the most beautiful atmosphere for your wedding . Built in the early 1800’s, Woodlawn served as a Confederate training facility, known as Camp Davis during the Civil War.

This Effingham County Landmark is engulfed with 10 acres of lawn and gardens and is an excellent example of plain-style Queen Anne Architecture.

The plantation is still a working farm today with beef cattle replacing the row crops of the past.

The main house is included with caterer's kitchen, sheds, porches, bathrooms, gazebo, walkways and patios. (Only the second floor of the Plantation Home is not for public use.)

So whether you plan a simple exchange of vows or a larger ceremony with up to 300 guests, our mild Southern climate has the romance of the South year round. Please visit our website at www.woodlawnplantation.com or call us at 912-754-7785
