Kimberly Fairchild is sassy, soulful and fun!
Voted "Best Female Top 40/Variety Vocalist 2007" by Detroit Metro Area Musicians and Entertainer's Association , she is known worldwide for her energetic professionalism. Her continuing popularity as a choice for private and public venues is largely due to the fact that she is an accomplished entertainer for all occasions who possesses a very large and eclectic repertoire sure to excite crowds of varying ages and musical tastes.
Early adventures in performing include backing vocals for Motown recording projects in Los Angeles and a year long national tour with a Vegas style show band. Detroit has seen Kimberly collaborate with and take notes from some of its finest artists. She has been onstage at the world famous DEMF (Detroit Electronic Music Festival) and has warmed stages for Martha Reeves and the Vandellas, Kool and The Gang and Paramount Picture Studios nationwide. Locally, you may recognize her unique backing vocals on recent recording projects. Accompanied by Chris Codish (From The Brothers Groove) her sultry voice helped christen the Northwest International Airline Terminal at the VIP grand opening gala. Televised appearances include the National anthem broadcast via Fox network from the Palace of Auburn Hills (the home of the Detroit Pistons) and entertainment commercials for the Greektown Casino in downtown Detroit.
On a more global note - even the Princess Caroline of Monaco has enjoyed the distinctive stylings of Miss Fairchild as she entertained at her personal and exclusive fundraiser for The Detroit Opera House Theatre.
Kimberly's international experiences were highlighted by an invitation to Japan where she performed in exclusive nightclubs and select concert venues such as the annual Beaujolais Nouveau Festival and The National Ballroom Dancing Conference.
For several years she was seen in many Detroit clubs and casinos with great frequency as a member of the band "Taylor Made" before becoming a dynamic band leader in her own right, a dazzling front woman of her own two (2) to ten (10) piece band. (Band size is usually determined by client's individual requests and needs.)
At the moment , although working on an album of original music, scheduled for release by the end of 2009, Kimberly frequently lights up stages at various hot spots, casinos and exclusive private engagements.
