When I booked my wedding with eWed Photography, my first thought was, “Wow! I’m getting a good deal and their portfolio is awesome!” Over a year passed before our big day, and Leah was great about keeping in contact during the last 2 weeks leading up to it. I sent her links of photography styles I liked and photos I liked and wanted to recreate. Everything I asked for, she made happen… Sounds great, right? Think again! After the wedding was over, everything went bad—very, very bad!

About 3 weeks after the wedding I decided to send her an email asking about the progress of our photos. I was in no hurry as I’d heard from others that wedding photos typically take at least a couple months, but I wanted to get some kind of ETA. To my surprise, she informed me that they’d be ready by the weekend! I was stoked! Saturday morning I got up, turned on my computer, and NOTHING!!! I let a few hours pass before emailing her again. Maybe she was running behind? When I finally get a response a couple hours later, she tells me that she’s still working on them and that it would be a couple more days. Okay, so Monday, right? Monday came. And Monday went. NOTHING!!! Not even an email or phone call to explain. So, again, I emailed her. I was becoming a little irritated, but still maintained my patience. I emailed to her that I understood that these things take time, and if she needed more time, to go ahead and take it—I asked for a “realistic” due date. She said Wednesday night. On Wednesday night, I did get an email. The disk was in route and was to be delivered the next day. The photos had begun uploading, but wouldn’t be ready until the morning. Okay… this was better than NOTHING!!! On Thursday morning, I did the same as on Saturday—guess what, just like Saturday, NOTHING!!! I called several times, sent more emails, and no response. No communication to tell me what was going on. I was becoming very antsy to see my photos. Keep in mind, I was prepared for a 2 month (at least) wait, but she changed that when she promised them last weekend! Finally, towards the end of my work day I get an email response saying that the photos are still uploading. Nearly 20 hours had passed since she emailed me to let me know the upload had begun, so this doesn’t make any sense. The upload should have been done by now. Oh well. I’m getting a disk in the mail anyway. Wrong again! She sent the disk to the wrong address!!! Instead of offering to personally deliver a new set of disks, she tells me that she’s busy but that I’m welcome to drive out to her—from Orange County to Ontario! Ugh! I was forced to take this option or or wait until Monday (at this point I had no confidence that the photos would ever be done uploading)! So we got the disks. But now friends and family want to see. So I check the eWed site, and see a link to our photos. Sounds great, right? Nope! It’s not (but are you even surprised anymore?)… the password doesn’t work! So I send her a text and an email to get the password. NOTHING! I wait till the morning. I called and left a voicemail and sent another email. NOTHING! Let a few more hours pass. Another voicemail and email. NOTHING… nothing until 7pm! And guess what she tells me! The photos are STILL uploading. They started Wednesday night and on Friday night they’re still not done. She explains that the transfer keeps freezing. Ummm, perhaps eWed needs to invest in some better equipment!? Since I couldn’t rely on them to upload to the web so that we could share our pictures with our family and friends, I decided to go ahead and upload them myself to my Shutterfly account. Almost 4GB of data. I did it in eight hours!!! Do I need to say anymore!?!?

All in all, eWed’s customer service is horrible. And this surprises me, especially during this economic hardship. People are fighting to keep their jobs, and eWed is doing absolutely nothing to rectify this situation. I would have thought that keeping their customers happy was important, especially when recommendations from brides weigh heavily with new brides. With me, they’ve demonstrated that this couldn’t be further from the truth. In the end, I was a very dissatisfied bride!
