I recently got married and Milivali Salon did my hair and make-up and hair for my bridal party. Everything turned out okay, but I was not thrilled. First off, they seemed kind of disorganized; they must have called me three times changing the time of my appointment (for my wedding day!). I had originally made appointments for the entire bridal party, but realized that the salon changes a lot more for weddings, so I canceled the appointments for the bridesmaids and had them book them separately. I guess the salon did not cancel the original appointments and while I was getting my make-up done, someone who must have been the owner complained to me that now she had hair stylists with nothing to do. I'm sorry, but it's not my fault your staff can't figure out your appointment system! It was really unprofessional and caused extra stress that I really did not need.
Shay did my make-up and was really sweet. I went twice because I did not like the colors I had chosen the first time (my fault), but on my second visit, she used foundation that was WAY to dark and my fiance said I looked like one of those women who spent too much time in the sun. Weathered was not the look I was going for! The rest of the make-up looked good so I decided to keep the appointment for my wedding day, but ended up bringing my own eye-shadow and foundation so I wouldn't have to worry about the color not being right.
In the end, I was satisfied but not thrilled. My hope for my wedding day was to look the best I had ever looked and unfortunately that was not the case.
